Kilgore TX Film Festival

Last October, Kilgore, Texas Film Festival attendees were treated to the only local showings of what turned out to be two of the most talked about films following the academy awards, The Hurt Locker and The Cove.  Both films received their first showing in the area as part of the Kilgore Fall Festival line-up.  The Spring Festival line-up also looks impressive enough to keep the local festival’s record going.  Officially opening on Wednesday April 14 with The Last Station, opening night features a reception and brief presentations about each of the films in the Spring Festival series.  For more information on the festival, email us at kilgore_movies@yahoo.com or call us at 903.983.1249.

It is less than one week until the beginning of the Kilgore TX Film Festival with The Last Station. Showing on April 14th, this historical drama illustrates Russian author Leo Tolstory’s struggle to balance fame and wealth with his commitment to a life devoid of material things. It was nominated for two Oscars.
